A Deeper Approach To Tackling Health Issues
Are you frustrated at how your doctor seems unable to help with persistent health issues that are undermining your quality of life?
What Is Functional Medicine?
We Find And Treat The Root Cause Of Your Symptoms
Functional Medicine is a science-based, whole-body approach to treating a wide range of diseases and disorders.
A Functional Medicine practitioner doesn’t look at only the surface symptoms but investigates the underlying causes.
These root causes of disease are identified by analyzing how different influences can affect a person’s whole mind and body health.
These influences can be:
- Genetics
- Nutrition
- Toxins
- Psycho-spiritual issues
By tackling these root issues, our clients are able to experience lasting relief and long-term wellness.

- Medical School: Mount Sinai School of Medicine, NYC
- Residency and Chief Residency: Albert Einstein College of Medicine, NYC
- Trained in Functional Medicine at the Institute for Functional Medicine
- Trained in Obesity Medicine Columbia University, NYC
I obtained my M.D. at Mount Sinai Icahn School of Medicine, doing my residency and chief residency at the Albert Einstein School of Medicine.
During my time at Albert Einstein, I received the Leo Davidoff Award for Teaching.
I am board-certified in Internal Medicine through the American Board of Internal Medicine, trained in Functional Medicine through the Institute of Functional Medicine, and Obesity Medicine certified through Columbia University School of Medicine and the American Board of Obesity Medicine.
After 23 years of clinical experience, I became interested in integrative and functional forms of medicine, realizing that traditional medicine alone fell short in helping patients with chronic illness – particularly obesity, psychological disorders, and autoimmune disease.
The underlying causes of these illnesses were not being addressed.
My own personal experiences as a chronically ill child helped shaped my philosophy and decision to pursue medical training and to provide compassionate care to patients in the way I would like to be treated.
I’m a big fan of mysteries and it seems tome that Internal Medicine is like solving a mystery or a puzzle.
I feel that using my skills in integrative/functional medicine to make a difference in the lives of my clients is the best feeling in the world.
My message to clients is that medicine is a collaboration between patient and doctor, and they should have open communication to expect the best care possible.
I’m a native New Yorker with two daughters and enjoy the culture and activities that New York City has to offer.
